dear lois magazine issue 1
Dear Lois

Dear Lois is a bi-annual print magazine for teen girls (and older!) filled with personal stories and advice from women who have been there. For each issue women from all walks of life are invited to write about what matters to them — sharing their learned wisdom and perspectives formed by their own experiences of womanhood.
This inaugural issue includes titles like Things I Wish My Teenage Self Knew, If My Teen Self Knew Me Now, If I Could Go Back, which reflect on what different women have learned while growing up. In Hair Queen, Annie Park walks through her messy relationship with her hair. Corinne Derusha's The Art of Starting Over is a true reflection on knowing when to let go and to be open to new journeys no matter your age. And so much more. Six female creative entrepreneurs are interviewed: Cat Rabbit, textile artist extraordinaire; Cindy Zell, artist an designer; Lauren Stelling, video/photographer; Olivia Montoya, fiber artist; Amber Lu, illustrator and florist; and Mia Moss, potter and workshop teacher.
Featuring gorgeous art direction and design by founder Mariah Behrens, and a wonderfully diverse table of contents courtesy of editorial director Hannah Behrens, Dear Lois is a must have for anyone journeying into, or in the midst of, womanhood.
